To configure the OSPFv3 network type for an interface, use the set protocols ospf6 area interface link-type command in L2/L3 configuration mode.

set protocols ospf6 vrf vrf-name area area-id interface interface-name link-type { broadcast | p2m | p2p }

vrf-name

Optional. Specifies a VRF name. The value is a string. It’s a user-defined VRF set by the command set ip vrf <vrf-name> [description <string>].

Note that: The configuration is in the default VRF if not explicitly bound to any VRF.

area-idOSPFv3 area identifier for the area to which the interface belongs.
interface-nameInterface name.
broadcastBroadcast.
p2mPoint-to-multipoint.
p2pPoint-to-point.

The following example configures the OSPFv3 network type to point-to-point:

admin@Switch# set protocols ospf6 area 0.0.0.0 interface vlan2 link-type p2p
