To configure BFD (Bidirectional Forwarding Detection) on the OSPFv3 interface, use the set protocols ospf6 area interface vif bfd disable command in L2/L3 configuration mode. 

Command Syntax

set protocols ospf6 vrf vrf-name area area-id interface interface-name vif vif-name bfd disable { true | false }

Parameters

vrf-name

Optional. Specifies a VRF name. The value is a string. It’s a user-defined VRF set by the command set ip vrf <vrf-name> [description <string>].

Note that: The configuration is in the default VRF if not explicitly bound to any VRF.

area-idOSPFv6 area identifier.
interface-nameInterface name.
vif-nameVirtual interface name.
trueDIsable BFD.
falseEnable BFD.

Example

The following example configures BFD on an OSPFv3 interface:

admin@Switch# set protocols ospf6 area 0.0.0.0 interface vlan2 vif vlan2 bfd disable false
