To configure an OSPF neighbor, use the set protocols ospf4 area interface vif address neighbor router-id command in L2/L3 configuration mode.

Command Syntax

set protocols ospf4 vrf vrf-name area area-id interface interface-name vif vif-name address local-ip-address neighbor remote-ip-address router-id remote-router-id

Parameters

vrf-name

Optional. Specifies a VRF name. The value is a string. It’s a user-defined VRF set by the command set ip vrf <vrf-name> [description <string>].

Note that: The configuration is in the default VRF if not explicitly bound to any VRF.

area-idOSPF area identifier.
interface-nameInterface name.
vif-nameVirtual interface name.
local-ip-addressVirtual interface IP address on this device used for OSPF.
remote-ip-addressIP address of the OSPF neighbor.
remote-router-idOSPF router identifier of the OSPF neighbor.

Example

This example configures an OSPF neighbor with IP address 10.2.2.2 and OSPF router ID 2.2.2.2.
